Paying

Fees can be paid to the Preschool Office by cash/ cheque or made through a variety of Childcare Voucher schemes.

Childcare Vouchers – we have accounts with a number of childcare voucher schemes, but, please note that the school has separate accounts with many of these, too. Always ensure you are searching for the Preschool and not the Primary and Nursery School. If your work operates a scheme for which we do not currently have an account please speak with the administration team in the Preschool Office. We will be happy to set up a new account.

Cheques – please make cheques payable to:
Watton at Stone Primary and Nursery School
but please deliver them to the Preschool Office.

Online payments/ Bank Transfer – unfortunately we do not currently have the facility to receive payments online, but, we are working on it!

Funding for 3 year olds
15 hours of free funding for education becomes available to every child in the term after their 3rd birthday. For example, if your child turns 3 in April, they will become eligible for their 15 hours in the Autumn Term (starting in September).

You may choose more than 15 hours for your child, but any session time above 15 hours will need to be paid for. Please see the fees list above.

How do I get the funding? The Preschool office will make the funding application on your behalf. We will contact you with a funding form to sign and date and ask you to present us with your child’s birth certificate for copying.

Funding for 2 year olds – the Free Early Education scheme
15 hours of free funding for education is available to families who meet with certain criteria which will include; children who are looked after, families who require additional support through a statement of special educational needs and families in receipt of certain benefits.

The funding becomes available the term after their 2nd birthday.

How do I know if I’m eligible? You can check your eligibility and make your application by following the directions on the following link: http://www.hertsdirect.org/services/edlearn/css/parents/feechildcare/

If your application is successful you will receive a Unique Reference Number (URN) which we need before you we can consider your child for a free place.
